2012 Press Release - TJGT and JGC Announce Partnership

Junior Golf Championships and Texas Junior Golf Tour are excited to announce a strategic marketing and playing privilege partnership that will increase the national exposure of all participating players.

The partnership will strengthen the marketing reach and brand of both organizations nationwide not only to players but brand name sponsors interested in investing in junior golf. The TJGT is the nation’s largest regional AJGA PBE/Golfweek ranked tour with over 85 events combining the Elite Mini Tour as well as the Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour. The TJGT has produced over 3,500 collegiate alumni and plays a key role in promoting high school golf within Texas with Highschoolgolfscoreboard.com. Currently, TJGT Alumni hold the following three prestigious titles: US Amateur, NCAA Individual & US Junior Champions.

Junior Golf Championships, through the hard work of Executive Director Justin Hogue, has developed into a national-elite opportunity for junior golfers in a partnership with the PGA Superstore. JGC operates 10 championships nationwide on premium golf venues to maximize the exposure for players. JGC events have been awarded both Golfweek Rankings and AJGA Performance Based Entry. In the short history of JGC several players have moved on to college golf scholarships and been recognized nationally.

TJGT President Dave Jones states, “Justin’s business experience as a marketing/sales executive with AT&T combined with his passion, integrity and love of the game has allowed him to develop a first-class operation. The opportunity to be an exclusive partner in the Texas & Oklahoma region will be a positive for all TJGT members and high school golfers in Texas/Oklahoma.

Justin’s tremendous marketing experience will be a real asset to TJGT in securing future sponsors and improving the quality of every event on the TJGT. Our leadership team is very excited to partner with Justin’s Junior Golf Championships to expand the horizons of junior golf nationwide and in Texas. We look forward to working closely with Justin and learning from his expertise in the marketing and sponsorship world.”
