Southwest Junior Championships Release Exciting News…
Universal Golf Solutions (UGS) is gearing up for three exciting tournaments this summer. Please read below to see all the outstanding prize giveaways, tournament details and event entry deadlines. Two of our remaining events are limited entries. UGS is very excited to announce the SJO now has AJGA Exemptions and is a GOLFWEEK ranked event making it one of the marquee independent junior golf events in the country.
As always, UGS is striving to make each tournament a memorable experience for everyone involved. With great courses, top notch rankings, exciting new awards, and even more prizes, we are sure that it will be the major championship experience that everyone is seeking. All of our events are open to boys and girls ages 8-18 and are Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked events.
PGA Tour Superstore and UGS/Southwest Junior Championships announce their new Hole In One package to be given to each hole in one winner/s throughout the remaining 2010 events. The package details will be posted online May 15th. The preliminary details have airfare, lodging, and multiple free rounds included on their trip to Myrtle Beach, SC.
The 2010 Southwest Junior Championships resume with the Lone Star Memorial presented by the PGA TOUR Superstore on May 30th -31st at The Tribute Golf Club in The Colony, Texas. The 36-hole stroke play event will be contested on one of Golf Digest’s Top 100 Public Courses in America. We are pleased to have the Lone Star Memorial join the Southwest Junior Championships after Kay Dalke ran the successful event for the past 4 years. Besides playing a fantastic golf course against some of the best junior golfers the Southwest has to offer, participants will also be put into a drawing to win several prizes including: 150 sq ft synthetic turf green from Southwest Greens, ProPlay Sport Video Equipment, Apple iPhone, AT&T Gift Bag, Samsung Gift Bag, Amino Vital Collector Towel and Gift Bag from the Presidents Cup, Tidewater Beach Resort Package, Taylormade Golf Equipment, Southwest Junior Open Free Entries, and many more prizes. The Lone Star Memorial is limited to 100 players.
Next on the schedule will be the Southwest Junior Open presented by the PGA TOUR Superstore, running July 16th -18th, 2010. Our premiere event will once again be hosted by The Tribute Golf Club as well as The Golf Club at Castle Hills. We are very excited to announce that this year’s Southwest Junior Open will also be a GOLFWEEK ranked event, making it one of the marquee independent junior golf events in the country. Winners from both the boys and girls Championship Divisions (14-18) will also earn an AJGA exemption for their outstanding play. All players and families will be invited to a dinner at the PGA TOUR Superstore on Preston Road on Saturday night. Players will also be entered into drawings for more outstanding prizes including: Samsung cell phones (4 boy winners and 4 girl winners), Special Edition Amino Vital President’s Cup towels (one winner per age division), TaylorMade Equipment, 150 sq ft synthetic turf green from Southwest Greens, ProPlay Sport Video Equipment, Apple (iPhone), AT&T Gift Bag, Samsung Gift Bag, Amino Vital Gift Bag, Free Entries to Belmar Junior Championship, Free Entries to Junior Masters (2011 event), Free Golf, and many more prizes. Players registering before June 1st, 2010 will receive $20 off of their entry fee.
The 2010 Southwest Junior Championships will conclude on August 14-15 with the Belmar Junior Championship at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma. The staff and members at Belmar Golf Club are very excited to be hosting this event and are rolling out the red carpet for our juniors golfers. You won’t want to miss the chance to play this exclusive course. The winners of each division will receive an autographed guitar from Country Music star and avid golfer Toby Keith who will award each winner of this event. The Belmar Junior Championship is limited to 125 players.
The PGA TOUR Superstore will be releasing exciting new details about their partnership with the PGA TOUR. The PGA TOUR is now a vital partner of the PGA TOUR Superstore and that ties our events directly to the PGA TOUR. We will continue to branch out into other areas across the nation to bring Major Championship Junior Events. Look for exciting details to come…
